배경

피카디리국제미술관에서는 지난 수년간 한국 미술계에 새로운 문화활력을 만들어 가고자 특별전시와 기획을 진행해 해왔습니다. 이에는, 미술작가, 미술작품, 감상자 및 미술 애호가를 비롯하여 미술계와 다양한 문화 관계성을 이해하는 예술철학을 근간으로 진행하였습니다. 하지만 최근 과학기술과 산업의 빠른 변화는 사회와 우리의 삶의 구조를 크게 바꾸고 있으며, 미술문화 또한 현대 기술매체와의 결합으로 다양성과 확장성이라는 패러다임의 시대를 맞고 있습니다. 특히 미술 전시문화는 세계 팬데믹을 거쳐 비대면 문화양식이 일반화에 이르기까지 했습니다.

The Piccadilly International Art Museum has been conducting special exhibitions and planning over the past few years to create new cultural vitality in the Korean art world. This was based on an art philosophy that understands various cultural relationships with the art world, including artists, works of art, viewers, and art lovers.
